My Thoughts: The bugs in Mrs. Spring’s garden aren’t getting along at all as they bicker over who is more important. Snail thinks he takes care of everything while Worm just makes a mess. But Worm thinks his job of turning over soil is more important than Snail’s slime. Busy bees and a beautiful butterfly join in the argument until the gardener gives them a common enemy. Can they find a way to work together to save their home?

With a cast of garden characters that will be easily recognised by young children, Mrs. Spring’s Garden takes readers on an adventure through the natural world. The bright, detailed illustrations show bees spreading pollen and earthworms churning dirt — a clever way to explain to children how these under-appreciated bugs help gardens thrive. With a strong focus on the wonders of nature, Mrs. Spring’s Garden is a fun story to read to young children as gardens spring to life after a long, cold winter.

About the Author:

Carole P. Roman is the award-winning author of over fifty children’s books. Whether it’s pirates, princesses, spies, or discovering the world around us, her books have enchanted educators, parents, and her diverse audience of children of all ages.

Her best-selling book, The Big Book of Silly Jokes for Kids: 800+ Jokes! has reached number one on Amazon in March of 2020 and has remained in the top 200 books since then.

She published Mindfulness for Kids with J. Robin Albertson-Wren.

Roman is the CEO of a global transportation company, as well as a practicing medium.

Writing is her passion and one of her favorite pastimes. Roman reinvents herself frequently, and her family calls her the ‘mother of reinvention.’ She resides on Long Island, near her children and grandchildren.
