My Thoughts: What should Dragon do when the book she wants is already checked out? Pout? Grab it? Make a fuss? With a clever twist that shows, instead of dictates, the kind way to behave, this interactive picture books lets little ones experience the emotions of not getting their way while witnessing that others have feelings too. The story is structured in a way that allows children to experience empathy and gives them the power to show care through sharing. The illustrations are lively and fun, inviting young hands to point to items and show compassion toward Dragon. Sharing is Caring, Dragon is another delightful picture book from Bianca Schulze and Samara Hardy that perfectly captures a child’s temperament in an all too familiar situation. Definitely recommended!
