The best part of being an author has got to be chatting about books and writing with children….second only to staying in bed in pyjamas all day and writing!

It was an absolute joy to visit North Bridge House this week for #WorldBookDay!

I had the opportunity to read Arabella and the Magic Pencil to the charming Reception class who gave me some wonderful ideas for new picture books — pineapples with brains and dancing robots to name a few!

In addition, I spoke to the switched on Year 5 and Year 6 students with my brilliant editor (and author), Lil Chase, about writing and editing. The newly-appointed editors-in-training had the most amazing feedback on my work-in-progress and clever ideas for storylines in the second book in the series. Absolutely stars
