To celebrate Australia Day (on January 26th) and Australian authors, a fantastic group of authors, bloggers, booksellers and publishers have joined together to give away dozens of books by Aussie authors in the 2016 Australia Day Book Giveaway Blog Hop hosted by Shelleyrae at Book’d Out blog.
GIVEAWAY: I’m giving away two books by Australian authors: Fine Wine and a Midlife Crisis by Tara Freeman – an honest, irreverent memoir about turning 40, and (a very gently read ARC of) Leap by Myfanwy Jones – a moving novel about love, loss and life. Open to Australia residents only this time.
[Edited: And this is what I love about the Australia Day Hop…I just found Christy Collins’ wonderful new blog — thanks to the hop — that just happens to have a great review of Leap. Click here to check out her review.]

Hi Stephanie,
I’m currently read Burning Lies by Helene Young. I am loving it. Australian story talking about the land, bush fires, rugged men and a touch of romance what more could a girl want. 😉

I just finished Amy Witting’s I For Isobel – a brilliant Aussie read first published in 1989, now onto Missing, Presumed by Susie Steiner, a well written whodunnit from the UK.

I just finished ‘Seducing his Enemy’s Daughter’ by Annie West and I absolutely loved it. I started Melanie Milburne’s ‘Chatsfield’s Ultimate Acquisition’ and I’m still undecided about this eon despite being 30plus pages in.

I’m reading Stephen King’s newest book, one of my children gave it to me for Christmas. I love all his books, short stories not as much though.

I’m too scared to read Stephen King books, but he’s such a great writer, I need to find one of his milder horror stories — is there such a thing? — to tackle. Thanks!
